The first sip hits with that sweet, grassy freshness I look for in a spring green, and the nutty undertone lingers just enough to keep things interesting. I’ve been steeping it in a tiny gaiwan at work and the leaves hold up for three rounds without turning bitter.
I brewed this at a slightly cooler temperature and the liquor turned out so smooth, with that rich vegetal sweetness lingering nicely into the third cup. The leaves are clearly early spring harvest, tender and giving a delicate, nutty finish that I keep craving in the mornings.
The first steep is all sweet vegetal notes, just like the description says, but it's the soft mouthfeel that really won me over—no bitterness even when I accidentally left the leaves in a minute too long. That early spring harvest makes all the difference.
