I was skeptical that dried lychee could carry any real sweetness, but this blend proves it—the citrus note cuts through the black tea's smoky edge beautifully. Brews up dark and smooth without a hint of bitterness, even when I left the bag in a little too long.
The lychee aroma is unmistakable when you open the bag, and it carries through into every sip without turning syrupy. Brewed it hot for about three minutes and the citrus note really peeks through the charcoal depth. My afternoon cup finally feels complete.
The dried lychee pieces actually hold up through multiple brews, so the second cup still has that sweet, citrusy note instead of turning bitter. The charcoal aroma from the Yunnan leaves gives it a smoky depth I didn’t expect, but it balances perfectly. My afternoon tea ritual feels complete now.
